Hi, my name is Svenja and I am an experienced online German instructor. My teaching approach is immersive and interactive, i.e. we aim to speak German as much as possible and you to get a lot of speaking time through a variety of exercises, including role plays. I always adapt my lessons according to my students needs. Originally from Hamburg, I fell in love with South Africa in 2000 and decided to try live here for a while -- 25 years (and a 6-year-stint in London) later and here I still am, living in one of the world's leading beach destinations, beautiful Plettenberg Bay. A social worker by profession, I love working with people from all walks of life, which is what I love about teaching German, too. When I am not teaching, I enjoy travelling, swimming, running, hiking and spending time at the beach with my family.
