Week 1: Introduction to Piano Basics
Objectives:
Understand the layout of the piano keyboard.
Learn proper posture, hand positioning, and finger numbering.
Introduction to basic music theory (note names, the musical alphabet, and the concept of rhythm).
Activities:
Familiarization with the piano keys (white and black keys, octaves).
Simple finger exercises to develop coordination.
Clapping and counting exercises to understand basic rhythm.
Learn and play the C major scale with the right hand.
Week 2: Reading Music and Playing Simple Melodies
Objectives:
Begin reading sheet music (treble clef and bass clef).
Play simple melodies using one hand.
Introduction to time signatures and note values.
Activities:
Identify notes on the staff and match them to the piano keys.
Practice reading and playing simple pieces (e.g., "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star").
Reinforce rhythm through clapping exercises with different time signatures.
Practice the C major scale with both hands separately.
Week 3: Hands Coordination and Playing with Both Hands
Objectives:
Coordinate both hands to play together.
Introduction to simple chords and basic harmony.
